I'm concerned by the fact that Gold says he has to pay his writers less money. That doesn't bode well for the future of the magazine. I wonder if he has a backlog of stuff from the more reliable writers, since this issue seems to be full of familiar names. You can usually count on Sheckley, St. Clair, and Pohl for good stories.
(I have to admit I've never heard of Stamers. May be a name to watch out for.)
