I rated it a strong three stars. I appreciated the religious sentiment, too, though I know I've seen it in a few other places recently.
Something about kept me from giving it four stars, but I couldn't say exactly what.
In any event, yes, between the Harrison, the Anderson and, in some ways, the Silverberg, the whole magazine was a decent 3-star issue, which is a nice recovery from its recent slump.
I'll be cracking open F&SF next, and I've got the month's IF as well. But first, I'll probably talk about Heinlein's embellishing on Starship Soldier (now Starship Trooper). It's much better now.
