Mr. Serling is, indeed, also involved with Playhouse 90. He really has taken the newish medium of television and made it his own.
The quality of the cinematography and the writing makes it feel like we're watching little movies rather than a television show. It helps that we're watching it on an impressive 21" TV screen, of course. One of my splurges.
