I can't help thinking that if they really are the only 3 people left in the world, then humanity is doomed -- even if Sarah bore a child every year until she was no longer fertile, the gene pool would be too small for successful continued breeding. But then, this is hardly the only tale (book or movie) to fall into that error; even the Bible does so.
