That is interesting. Never having read any of the stuff, I can only say I'm disappointed in how well Queen Bee did.

Mind you, I find the Mack Reynolds result surprising. Later on, at least, his poorer stuff was elitist space opera I would have thought vey popular; and his better stuff had solid ideas. And writing not outstandingly good, but not bad.
